The trial for the former mayor of Roskovec, Majlinda Bufi, has been postponed once again. The reason remains the same as before: her absence and that of her defense lawyers. Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha reports that this pattern of repeated absences has forced GJKKO to issue a final ultimatum, stating that if they do not appear at the next hearing, the proceedings will continue without them. Another measure taken today was the fining of the lawyers, each being ordered to pay a fine of 5,000 euros. Today's hearing was for the defense of the former mayor of Roskovec. SPAK had previously requested a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison for Majlinda Bufi on charges of "misuse of public office for political or electoral activities." Bufi does not risk going to prison because, in the end, SPAK suggested suspending the sentence and placing her on "probation" for 2 years.
