The United Colleges of the High Court, in a meeting after many years, reviewed today the change in judicial practice regarding the imposition of prison arrest measures. Invited this evening on 'Top Story', analyst Arian Curri expressed that neither Prime Minister Rama nor the head of the PD, Sali Berisha, are interested in changing the judicial practice for imposing prison arrest measures. Mentioning pre-detainees like Ilir Meta or Erjon Veliaj, whom he called 'VIP' pre-detainees, Curri stated that politicians do not want their freedom because they could still be dangerous if released. "For me, they are all in a terrible dance of hypocrisy, because no one will rectify this great injustice. None of them will do it. Not Rama because it would change procedural law, nor the lower court because they say the people want them in prison, leave them in prison, they say let them go to Strasbourg. Nor will the high court itself do it, because even when these individuals appealed, it left them in prison. Nor will the Constitutional Court do it. And today, it left Meta in prison with a terrible sentence. 'There is a perception even for an external observer that Ilir Meta may have committed these actions.' This is an extremely idiotic system from the lower court to the constitutional one, it makes you put your hands on your head; in this country, you are judged by opinion, perception. It's a huge mess. Now, for me, the only way is for the majority and the opposition to intervene in the penal code. But do they really have an interest in these VIPs that you showed there? I don't believe so, because these VIPs are still dangerous if they come out. None of them will get out. Berisha and Rama are not interested in getting these individuals out of pre-trial detention," expressed Curri.
