Prime Minister Edi Rama was stopped today in Vlora, where he held a meeting with tourism operators. The head of government said they have done a very good job in their tourism journey, but did not spare a piece of advice for all professionals in the field. Rama said prices should be proportional to the services offered, otherwise, according to him, people will not return. "Albania will have the opportunity to attract tourists even beyond the season, if it is prepared for this. We see this also in the aspect of investment interest, which has seen an increase, and we must take advantage of this. We are also here to talk about what has not developed positively because people come for a reason, and if they find reasons that do not satisfy them, not only will they not return, but it will turn into a boomerang. We are clear that prices are not set by the government, but prices should be set by your strategic vision for the fate of your investments. Our goal is to prevent what has happened to others. As a result of the flow, they had a narrow mind thinking that people would be there, and they started to invest more but wanting to profit a lot, at that moment, and the investments were left at the door because more people did not come. If prices are higher than what you offer, you have dug your own grave, I am talking about the grave in investments, you need a medium-term strategy on how to make a reasonable profit and not what you can get at the moment. You know it yourselves, but I am speaking to you with some truths as someone who loves this city," said Rama. Another piece of advice from Rama was to "not see every space for a building, but for paid parking."
