Heavy rainfall that has affected the city of Lezhë in recent hours has caused problems in several urban areas, leading to difficulties in the movement of citizens and vehicles. The most problematic situation was recorded in the "Besëlidhja" neighborhood, where, as a result of the intensity of the rainfall and the overload of the sewage system, water surfaced and accumulated in the "11 Janari" residential block. Top Channel correspondent Brixhilda Deda reports that the situation is also related to underground works being carried out as part of the project for the rehabilitation and expansion of the city's white and black water sewage network, an investment aimed at improving infrastructure and providing long-term solutions to flooding. After the heavy rainfall ended, the situation has improved and the water level has receded.
