A serious and still unclear incident has shaken Brazil, where fitness influencer Tamyris Teixeira Santos was found dead on a beach, days after disappearing while swimming. The 36-year-old was last seen entering the water at Leblon Beach in Rio de Janeiro while with her friends. She never returned from the sea, yet despite this, her companions left without raising the alarm about her disappearance.
Only a day later, family members were notified of her absence after the influencer's personal belongings were found left at a kiosk near the beach. This led to the launch of a search operation, which ended tragically three days later when her body was discovered on the shore of Botafogo.
The victim's family has raised strong doubts about the circumstances of the incident, emphasizing that she was a good swimmer and that the beach was crowded at the time of her disappearance. Her mother stated that it is incomprehensible how such a tragedy could occur without anyone noticing.
Authorities have launched an investigation and are analyzing security camera footage to reconstruct her final movements. So far, the cause of death has not been confirmed, and the body has been sent for forensic examination. The deceased was also a lawyer and known for her social media content, where she shared fitness and workout tips, amassing thousands of followers.
