Minister of Justice, Toni Gogu, held a meeting yesterday with the head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho. Gogu stated that the meeting falls within the responsibilities of the Ministry of Justice regarding the functioning of the justice system and inter-institutional cooperation. Through a Facebook post, the minister clarified that cooperation will focus on improving the legal framework, strengthening institutional capacities, increasing the system's efficiency, and consolidating standards and practices that guarantee legal security and public trust. Minister Gogu added that SPAK remains a key institution in the fight against organized crime and corruption. "Yesterday, I held an institutional meeting with the head of SPAK, Mr. Klodjan Braho, within the responsibilities of the Ministry of Justice for the functioning of the justice system. Inter-institutional cooperation will be developed in these directions: improving the legal framework by addressing existing gaps regarding the status of prosecutors, procedural competencies, and international cooperation strengthening institutional capacities and infrastructural support increasing the system's efficiency and coordination at the level of public policies consolidating standards and practices that guarantee legal security and public trust. SPAK remains a key institution in the fight against organized crime and corruption, as well as in consolidating the rule of law and advancing the country's European integration process. Our cooperation is based on full respect for the separation of powers and the independence of institutions," writes Minister Gogu.
