Two consecutive police operations were finalized within 24 hours in Tirana, leading to the arrest of two individuals suspected of theft with serious consequences.

According to the official announcement, the services of Police Commissariat No. 2 intervened immediately after reports from citizens and business administrators, enabling the identification and apprehension of the perpetrators in record time.

As part of the coded operation "The Driver," citizen L. B., 28 years old, was arrested. He is suspected of misappropriating around 3,000,000 lekรซ over a period of 6 months. He is accused of selling equipment from the company where he was employed as a driver for his own benefit, specifically coffee processing and consumption equipment. As material evidence, the police also seized a vehicle owned by the company, used for transporting the stolen equipment.

Meanwhile, in the operation "Cassette," citizen M. Xh. was handcuffed, suspected of stealing 40,000 pounds. According to investigations, the amount had been temporarily left in a deposit locker at a supermarket by a customer, an employee of a currency exchange point. The money was found in the premises of the suspect's workplace and seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials for both cases have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, which will continue with the investigations to fully clarify the events.
