A touching and painful detail about the life of the late footballer Diego Jota has recently been revealed, stemming from his official biography set to be published in Portugal.

At the heart of this account is his wife, Rute Cardoso, and the final message she sent him shortly before the fatal accident.

According to the book, Rute wanted to share a special moment from their life with himโ€”their wedding video. Unaware that Jota had suffered a tragic accident in a rented Lamborghini Huracan on a highway in Spain, she wrote:

"My love, when you stop, call me, because I have something to show you."

It is recalled that the 28-year-old footballer, who was part of the renowned club Liverpool, lost his life in July of last year. According to Spanish authorities, the accident occurred primarily due to high speed. At the time of the tragedy, Jota was traveling with his brother, Andre Silva, toward Santander to catch a ferry to the United Kingdom, having been advised not to fly due to a lung operation.

The biography, written by former footballer Jose Manuel Delgado and titled "Nunca Mais รฉ Muito Tempo" ("Never Again Is a Long Time"), is set to be published on April 9. Publishers describe the book as a deeply emotional work that pays homage to Jota's life and legacyโ€”not only as an elite footballer but also as a person.

In an interview with Portuguese television, presenter Isabel Figueira paused at this painful moment, describing it as one of the most heartbreaking parts of the book, which recounts the final messages that never reached their destination.
