A delegation from the Italian party 'Fratelli d'Italia' is expected to arrive in Albania tomorrow to visit the Repatriation Pre-Detention Center (CPR) in Gjadër. According to MP Sara Kelany, who heads the party's immigration department, the purpose of the visit is to verify the functioning of these facilities. "We want to use facts to refute the distorted narrative that these centers do not work or are a waste. This project is functioning and represents a model for Europe," Kelany stated. The delegation consists of a broad group of high-level party representatives, including leaders from the Italian Chamber of Deputies and Senate, such as Galeazzo Bignami and Lucio Malan, as well as other leading figures like Giovanni Donzelli and Marco Lisei. The visit comes amid increased political interest in Italy regarding migration management agreements and models, while centers like the one in Gjadër have become part of the broader European debate on repatriation and asylum policies.
