Spiro Dhimaleksi, 35, who a day earlier held his parents hostage and threatened their lives in Himarë, has been admitted today and is under observation at the Ali Mihali Psychiatric Hospital, following medical treatment at the Vlora Hospital for several cuts from a sharp knife.
According to psychiatrists, the 35-year-old has no medical record with a diagnosis of mental health issues, but is found to be a user of narcotic substances, in a severe phase.
During communication with doctors, Dhimaleksi was more lucid today, though he will need to be treated by toxicologists.
The 35-year-old told the police that he committed the act because he suspects his parents want to take his properties.
