Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha, in a video message today, accused Prime Minister Rama of deception regarding wage and pension increases, describing the bonus for pensioners as minimal and laughable. Berisha emphasized that wages remain the lowest in the region and blamed the government for mass emigration, which according to him is reflected in EUROSTAT figures. The Democratic leader also questioned the foreign investment figures and declared that the economy is in decline, with shrinking production and exports. Dear citizens. In his deceitful morning monologue, Edi Rama once again attempted, tried to convince you that he has significantly increased wages and pensions. The truth is that the pension bonus for 690,000 pensioners is among the most laughable. It amounts to 2 kilos of tomatoes per month. This is the pension increase according to the current government. Moreover, wages remain the lowest in our region, whereas in 2013, they were the highest in the region. Today, he presented the diaspora convention as a great success. On this occasion, greeting all Albanians of the diaspora, wherever they are, including those attending this convention, but I emphasize that your host is one of the fiercest enemies of the Albanian nation, of its existence, not just for decades, but even longer. I remind you, dear Albanians of the diaspora, that in just 10 years of his governance, 1,099,000 Albanians have left this country according to Eurostat, and all of these only in the Schengen area, not counting other regions. So at least 45 to 47% of Albanians have left Albania, and today Albania has the birth rate it had 100 years ago. He meticulously implemented the ฤubriloviฤ platform in this country. Finally, he spoke about European Union reports. He deceived again. The truth is that IBAR, after five discussions in the relevant European Union forum, was not approved due to the blockade that Edi Rama imposed on the arrest of Lulzim Basha to protect himself and due to the blockade of investigations conducted regarding the action to protect his wife and his family circle. So, we can say that this week's series of deceptions was no different from the others. Similarly, he spoke about foreign investments, 1.6 billion euros. I must point out that of these 1.6 billion euros according to INSTAT, 800 million are not foreign investments but are reinvestments of Albanian money by foreign companies operating in Albania. They have nothing to do with foreign investment. The remainder, 30% of it, is purchases by Albanians of apartments in Albania. While 18% remain in total or about less than 300 million euros are direct investments. So real direct investments in Albania have fallen to the levels of 2004-2008 and are among the lowest of the time. Of course, buying apartments is an investment, but a fruitless investment that does not bring employment, does not bring production. So, in this case, I must add, industrial production is in recession, agricultural production is in recession, exports have dramatically declined. The economy, the growth with which Edi Rama beats his chest, is a growth entirely dictated by high taxes and the large number of wage earners on the state payroll.
