Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, as the war with the United States and Israel has not yet ended, declared Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, the envoy of the Supreme Leader, to the TASS agency. "Since the war has not ended, Iran has strong control over it, but I am sure that after the war it will be open and countries will benefit from it," he said. He added that Iran does not aim to cause a global crisis because of the Strait of Hormuz. "We want to have good relations and, more than that, friendship with all countries," expressed Elahi. According to Iranian authorities, a decision has been made to restrict passage through the Strait of Hormuz for ships linked to the U.S., Israel, and countries that support actions against the Islamic Republic. During the conflict, several tankers have been attacked because they passed through the strait without Iran's permission.
