Middle Eastern embassies are issuing warnings not to leave the country, as the deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump for negotiations with Iran approaches. Kuwait's Interior Ministry has asked citizens and residents to stay home from midnight until 6 a.m. on Wednesday. A spokesperson says this is a "precautionary measure" โ but it covers the U.S. president's deadline of 8 p.m. Eastern Time, after which he said "an entire civilization will die." Earlier, the U.S. embassy in Manama instructed all government employees in Bahrain to shelter in place. "We recommend all Americans in Bahrain do the same until further notice," the embassy added. "As much as possible, stay in a secure structure and stay away from windows," the notice says.
