Urban and intercity transport will return to normal following an agreement between the Transport Association and representatives of the government and local authorities.
Representatives of the association announced that after meeting with the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Infrastructure, and the mayor, an agreement was reached for the normal continuation of services, while a possible subsidy per liter of fuel was also discussed, the value of which remains to be determined.
"We had a meeting with the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Infrastructure, and the deputy mayor. We agreed that transport will return to normal and there will be a monetary subsidy per liter, but the amount will be under discussion. Starting today, transport will resume at full capacity, as operators also want to provide proper service due to what was observed these past two days. We will have another meeting next week to discuss other economic demands, such as VAT, excise taxes, and categories that travel for free," stated the association.
