Aleks Ndreka, known as "Leksi i Druve," was extradited today from Italy to Albania. He had been internationally wanted since 2023 as part of the "Metamorphosis" operation, while the Special First Instance Court for Corruption and Organized Crime had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" in absentia. Ndreka is accused of providing conditions and material means to carry out murders, coordinating his collaborators to kill three Albanian citizens in 2017. The State Police announced that the extradition was carried out through international cooperation within the coded operation "The Wanted," with the assistance of Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome specialists. The 49-year-old is one of the main figures of crime in the Lezhë and Shkodër regions and is suspected of involvement in multiple criminal activities and planning organized murders. Ndreka had strong clashes with former Socialist Party MP Arben Ndoka, who is suspected of having planned a drone attack against him, related to the murder of his brother. Several relatives and collaborators of the former MP are also involved in this episode, highlighting the complex and violent connections of the conflict in the Albanian criminal world.
