The same line applies to all services that should have been provided at the Trauma Hospital. On May 19, 2025, the Minister of Health announced that the Ophthalmology service at the Trauma Hospital is equipped with modern equipment, enabling patients to receive treatment and quality eye care services. For this, doctors demonstrated the equipment and spoke extensively about it. But today, even this service is closed to citizens.

"I don't know what to do, sister," expressed a citizen.

"For the eye I had surgery on, I told you, it cost me 1 million 400 thousand lekรซ, I did it privately, they gave me 12 injections, look at how they treated my eye, I can't see at all," expressed the citizen.

This service is also closed at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center, according to denunciations made by doctors themselves publicly. This forces all patients with vision problems to either turn to private clinics or risk losing their sight.

"I went to the French hospital and they told me: uncle, your turn will come after 6 months, I told them, where do I go for 6 months, I'll go to South America, I even joked with them," expressed the citizen.

"It's incomprehensible, sister, what to do, where to find a way to choose, all that's left are scams, they only check your pockets, and it's even worse at private clinics," expressed the citizen.
