One day after the seventh national protest of the opposition, the head of the PD, Sali Berisha, called on other opposition parties to join the Democratic Party. Berisha also appealed to pensioners, intellectuals, and civil society to join the opposition's action.
"We will never give up on the protest. We will do everything to unite with opposition political forces. I call on you, it is time to act together against a fierce enemy of the Albanian existence. I call on civil society that has remained outside Edi Rama's control to join us. Look at the vicious stance they held towards Aulon Kalas. In hundreds of protests, he has protested peacefully and with dignity. I call on intellectuals, you must rise to the occasion for your country that is being destroyed," Berisha stated.
