Prime Minister Edi Rama will undertake a working visit to Rome and Barcelona from April 16 to 18, as part of his international commitments and efforts to strengthen cooperation with European partners.
In a social media post, the head of government shared a photo while writing, "Rome, reviewing lessons before the meeting, because Italy's sister does not forgive you for the knowledge she has about every project."
After Italy, Rama will participate by invitation of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in the proceedings of the fourth "In Defense of Democracy" Summit, taking place in Barcelona, Spain. The summit's discussions will focus on key themes such as "Institutions and Multilateralism" as well as "Disinformation and Digital Technology," with particular attention paid to regulating the digital environment to combat disinformation, strengthening democratic institutions and multilateralism, and addressing inequalities as a foundation for a strong democracy.
Within the framework of the summit, Prime Minister Rama will also hold bilateral meetings with his Spanish counterpart Sanchez and the President of the European Council, Antรณnio Costa.
