The Central Election Commission has responded to the request of socialist MP Erion Braçe, who sought official data on the results he achieved during his career as a legislator. In its response, the CEC provided Braçe's personal performance figures for the period 2001-2021.
Regarding the electoral processes of 1996 and 1997, the CEC clarified that it contacted the Central State Archive, but the latter confirmed that the relevant documentation is not found in its holdings. According to the notice, the results from those two years are managed by the archive of the Albanian Parliament.
The document signed by the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, positions Braçe as one of the most voted political figures at the national level.
This request for official information comes at a time when the MP has openly expressed his ambition to run for the Municipality of Tirana. Erion Braçe won the MP mandate in the Tirana District in the last parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025, running on an open list and accumulating the highest number of votes.
