The Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has requested a 10-year prison sentence for the former head of ARRSH, Ervis Berberi, on a series of charges including abuse of office, passive corruption, violation of equality in tenders, and money laundering. According to reporter Anila Hoxha's coverage for Top Channel, due to the shortened trial, Berberi is expected to have one-third of the sentence reduced. In addition to the prison sentence, SPAK has also requested his ban from holding public office for a 5-year period. Furthermore, the prosecution has requested the confiscation of seized monetary amounts, specifically 15,000 euros, 35,000 pounds, and 1 million new lekë.
