Israeli settlers opened fire on Palestinian residents in the occupied West Bank, killing a 29-year-old Palestinian man. According to the WAFA agency, settlers surrounded the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, and fired military ammunition. The victim, Odeh Atef Odeh Awawdeh, was shot in the back and later succumbed to his wounds at the Ramallah Medical Complex. Violence in the West Bank, which Israel has occupied since 1967, has significantly increased since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023.
