The State Prosecutor's Office in Kosovo has announced that the Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Prizren, Petrit Kryeziu, has been threatened. Through a public response, they have condemned these threats against Kryeziu, describing them as a direct attack on the justice system. In the response published on Friday, April 17, 2026, it is stated that the threats came from a person suspected of several criminal acts. "These threats constitute a direct attack on the justice system and, as such, will receive the appropriate institutional response so that the responsible person is brought before justice as soon as possible and faces legal consequences," the announcement states.
