NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the Alliance is moving quickly to secure the necessary budgets for strengthening military capabilities. Speaking about the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, Rutte acknowledged that some allies were slow to respond in providing logistical support to the U.S. According to him, this was also due to a lack of prior information, as Donald Trump had chosen not to notify allies in order to maintain the element of surprise. However, he emphasized that European countries are currently providing significant support and are responding to Washington's requests. Rutte also praised the United Kingdom for leading a coalition aimed at ensuring free passage through the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a sign of a "shift in mindset" within the Alliance.
