A big name has entered Juventus' radar for the summer transfer market. It's about Bernardo Silva, who could leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
According to reports from Italian media, there have been new contacts between the Bianconeri executives and the Portuguese player, through the well-known agent Jorge Mendes. Juventus aims to position itself at the forefront to secure the services of the attacking midfielder, who is expected to make a decision about his future during the month of April.
The 32-year-old, who is expected to change scenery after a successful cycle in England, seems inclined to leave the Premier League. Among the possible alternatives for his future, Barcelona is also mentioned, which is working to convince him, as well as a possible return to Portugal. An experience outside Europe, in leagues like MLS or Saudi Arabia, is not ruled out either.
However, to make this transfer a reality, Juventus must face a significant financial obstacle. Currently, Silva earns around 10 million euros per season and is not expected to accept offers below 8-9 million euros per year. This means that the Turin club must exceed the current wage limit, recently set with the renewal of Kenan Yฤฑldฤฑz.
Another factor that could influence the operation is also coach Luciano Spalletti. The Italian strategist could use Silva as a playmaker or on the attacking wings in the 4-2-3-1 formation, but a system change to 4-3-3 is not ruled out either, which would affect the profile of the players sought.
At this moment, the track remains open, but the realization of the transfer will depend on several key factors: the player's own choice, competition from other clubs, and Juventus' financial capacity.
