The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is delivering his speech at the seventh national protest called by the opposition. He emphasizes that the Democratic Party is the best choice at this moment for the country, while also evaluating the action of the protests so far.
"Dear citizens, democrats, deputies and allies of the DP, opposition members in this square and wherever you are, undefeated missionaries of Albania. We rise here not simply as opposition against the autocratic dictatorship, not only as an excellent political alternative.
We gather here as the only hope for saving Albania from Edi Rama's narco-state, based on drugs and the theft from Albanians. That we are the only hope for Albania is clearer than ever. This is the most gigantic series of protests that Albania has ever known.
Tens of thousands of Albanians stood in squares, undefeated, tooth for tooth with the regime, with tear gas, batons, and smoke, and they won. That we are the only hope became known the day after the last protest," Berisha expressed.
