PD deputy Saimir Korreshi did not hold back his criticism during the plenary session in the Assembly, as he listed the problems regarding healthcare in Lushnje and beyond. In his speech, Korreshi stated that Minister Evis Sala should know that Europe cannot be entered when hospitals lack iodine, cotton, or there is no ultrasound for pregnant women's check-ups. With emphasis, Korreshi expressed that all Lushnjarë are turning into Fierakë, as there is no ultrasound available for pregnant women's visits.
"You really tell us to come see the roads, but the regulation is somehow meant to cut deputies' speaking time, saying we bother the new colleagues by speaking for 10 minutes, as constitutional bodies should not speak here after you have given permission to the conference of chairpersons. For procedure, you have the phone number, call that Minister of Health. She has indeed gone to Europe, but I must say you cannot enter Europe without cotton, iodine, and gloves in hospitals.
You cannot enter Europe when mammography is not working in Lushnje, when there is no ultrasound for examinations during childbirth. We are sending them to Fier, and all Lushnjarë are becoming Fierakë. You cannot enter Europe when the ultrasound comes out like a photo without flash. Nor when there is no elevator to go up to the 3rd floor where women are giving birth on the stairs. There is no elevator for pediatrics, emergency on the 4th floor. Men and women take turns from 2 floors because they give up on the way. Absolutely not," said Korreshi.
