Former President Ilir Meta has reacted after the conclusion of the court session, leveling accusations against the justice system for what he claims are double standards and political influence in judicial processes.
In a social media post, Meta writes that he was not surprised by what he calls "directed justice," adding that in his case, even the standard applied in previous high-profile cases was not respected, according to him.
He also mentions the case of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano and officials from the communist regime era, arguing that their judicial treatment followed different standards at a time when Albania was not yet a member of the Council of Europe.
"No surprise from Directed Justice.
Even when Albania was not a member of the Council of Europe, public officials were tried in the presence of their lawyers, and every court session was broadcast live.
But in George Soros's justice, carried out with the well-known involvement of Charles McGonigal and many others like him, instead of respecting the Constitution, the European Convention on Human Rights, and the call of the Albanian Helsinki Committee, the standard of judging a terrorist in France becomes the norm, not the standard of judging the President of France, Sarkozy.
Moreover, Sorosist justice does not even respect the standard of judging former Prime Minister Nano and former officials of the communist regime, when, I emphasize, Albania was not a member of the Council of Europe. The game of delaying sessions, with various pretexts, continues under the direction of prosecutors, who are known to be commanded by someone.
Nevertheless, there is complete 'coherence,' from the standards of my abduction on October 21, 2024, to today's standards of trial, because for this puppet regime, being a patriot actually means being a terrorist.
I am proud of my patriotism, and this makes me invincible and superior in the face of cowards who serve the international gang of George Soros and his Quisling in Tirana, who has put every national interest up for sale," Meta writes.
