Monika Kryemadhi has revealed details for the first time regarding her separation from her ex-husband, Ilir Meta. She accused former SPAK chief prosecutor Altin Dumani of sowing discord between them by creating the impression that Kryemadhi was cheating on Meta. According to her, they had discovered messages that Kryemadhi exchanged with a number registered under the name "My Heart." But according to Kryemadhi, it was actually Ilir Meta.

"I cannot deny 30 years of life; they were very beautiful years. We went through many challenges and battles—some we won, some we didn’t. Even who I am today, I owe partly to Ilir Meta. He was a tolerant spouse who allowed me to do whatever I wanted. Did I have other issues? Yes. In our 33-year life together, we only took eight vacations as a family. I regret not spending more time with my family and children, as I used it for others. I have some regrets. But I don’t regret anything. Now I feel respect for him and anger at myself that SPAK and Altin Dumani used the State Security methodology to create conflict between spouses, labeling me a state collaborator. The manipulation has been very ugly and inhumane. But you reap what you sow. We never had any problems between us. They first informed Ilir Meta that they had discovered in my phone that I had a lover. To have a lover, you need time. Meta was living elsewhere at the time, and I heard people sitting at his table talking about how I had a lover. They showed Meta printed messages I had exchanged with him, and I had saved the conversation under the name 'My Heart.' He didn’t remember the messages. Later, in court, it turned out the number was Ilir Meta’s. I didn’t see his reaction when this happened because I’m not interested in his reaction. His staff accused me and my mother of using his name. The perception was created that in 2009, Meta took money that he gave to my mother, and she bought a house. Then CEZ-DIA happened in 2011," she recounted.
