An explosion with tritonal occurred today around 00:10 in Memaliaj, at the residence of citizen Butjan Kapa, the head of the Qesarati administrative unit. Sources indicate that the 67-year-old Kapa has stated he has no conflicts with anyone, but did not wish to provide many details and has shown a lack of cooperation with the police. Fortunately, the explosion caused only material damage, but after the incident, the perpetrators burned the vehicle they were using and left on foot. Meanwhile, the police and the investigative team are continuing their work to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. On 06.04.2026, around 00:10, in the yard of the residence of citizen B. K., aged 67, in the village of Toç, it is suspected that a quantity of explosive material detonated, causing only material damage. The perpetrator(s), while fleeing, on the "Krahës–Memaliaj" road axis, near the village of Qesarat, are suspected to have burned the vehicle they were using and then left on foot. Police services continue to monitor the area to locate and apprehend the perpetrator(s). The investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is intensively continuing investigative actions to clarify and fully uncover the circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s)," stated the police announcement.
