A 26-year-old Albanian man wanted by Spain as a member of a "hawk" gang was arrested today in Laç. Mateo Selala has been handcuffed, also accused of forgery and participation in a criminal group.
The judicial authorities in Spain issued an international arrest warrant for him in February for the criminal offenses of "Robbery with violence," "Document forgery," and "Criminal group." He is accused of stealing from two residences on March 14 and 15, 2025. He is also accused of altering the license plates of a vehicle.
A member of a criminal group in Spain, accused of robbery with violence and document forgery, was located and captured in Laç, the 26-year-old. As a result of information exchange and coordination of operational actions with Spanish partners, the services of the Directorate of the Special Operational Force of the General Directorate of State Police finalized the 91st phase of the operation codenamed "Operational."
During this phase, citizen M. S., 26, was located and captured in Laç, after the judicial authorities in Spain issued an international arrest warrant for him in February 2026 for the criminal offenses of "Robbery with violence," "Document forgery," and "Criminal group."
Citizen M. S. is accused of stealing from two residences in different areas of Spain on March 14 and 15, 2025. He is also accused of altering the license plates of a vehicle. Interpol Tirana is cooperating with counterparts in Madrid to extradite the 26-year-old to Spain.
