Legendary Turkish singer İbrahim Tatlıses, also known as "The Emperor," has been hospitalized following an unexpected health issue. The 74-year-old fell ill at his residence in Istanbul after completing an intensive period of concerts abroad. He exhibited symptoms such as low blood pressure and was urgently transported to a private hospital, where tests and a CT scan revealed a severe bacterial infection.
Doctors decided to keep him in intensive care for monitoring, though his condition is reported as stabilized. According to the medical staff, his vital functions are normal, and antibiotic treatment has begun immediately. In a statement to the media, his daughter, Melek Zübeyde, shared that she accompanied him to the hospital. She noted that the infection is related to the gallbladder and that surgical intervention is not ruled out, as examinations continue.
Throughout the day, his family members, including Dilan Çıtak and İdo Tatlıses, have been by his side at the hospital. Meanwhile, his other son, Ahmet Tatlıses, has been unable to be present due to legal restrictions.
The artist has previously faced serious health challenges, including a gun attack in 2011 that left him with severe consequences, as well as an accident in 2022. Despite this, he has continued to remain active on the stage.
