The General Director of the State Police, Major Director Skënder Hita, held a meeting with the leaders of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, the heads of police stations and sectors under the DVP. The purpose of the meeting was to take measures to increase the parameters of order and the security of citizens' lives and property. During the meeting, the General Director called for greater commitment, dedication, and professionalism in preventing, detecting, and combating crime, drug trafficking, cannabis cultivation both in open fields and indoor environments, illegal possession of weapons, economic crimes, illegal gambling and call centers, trafficking, as well as environmental crimes, primarily focusing on freeing public spaces, unauthorized constructions, and environmental pollution. Overall order and security, and in particular school safety, cybersecurity, and road safety, were among the other directives given by the General Director during the meeting, requesting an increase in police presence and professional capacities to prevent and further enhance security parameters in the capital. Director Hita also emphasized the importance of addressing and dynamically following up on citizens' concerns and reports, stressing that the law and citizens are the priority for the State Police, and therefore timely response, commitment, and professionalism are required. Citizens' trust is earned through the work and correct conduct of police employees. He also urged the leaders to be as close as possible to field employees, to support and motivate them in fulfilling their duties, while appreciating their daily work and dedication.
