The White House denied claims that the American President was hospitalized yesterday, while Donald Trump himself escalated rhetoric against Iran, warning of the destruction of all bridges and energy infrastructure in the country if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened by Tuesday.
"Tuesday will be the day of bridges and energy infrastructure in Iran, all at once. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the damned straits, you mad children, or you will go to hell, YOU WILL SEE! Thanks be to Allah," Trump warned.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf directly responded to the American President with a strong message on social media.
"Your unprecedented actions are leading the United States into a real hell for every family, and our entire region will burn," he wrote.
As the war in the Middle East enters its 37th day, Iran and Oman are negotiating the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, according to Oman's Foreign Ministry.
"Yesterday, the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran held a meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers of both countries, during which possible options to ensure peaceful transit through the Strait of Hormuz under the current regional circumstances were discussed. During the meeting, experts from both sides presented a range of visions and proposals that will be studied," the statement said.
Also today, U.S. special forces announced they have found the missing pilot in Iran after an F-15 crashed on Friday. U.S. President Donald Trump and senior members of his staff monitored the rescue operations. Trump reported that the pilot is in good health and called the rescue operation one of the bravest in U.S. history.
The U.S. military deployed dozens of aircraft, armed with the deadliest weapons in the world, to find him. "I am happy to report that he is safe and sound. The rescue is attributed to yesterday's success in finding another brave pilot, news we did not immediately confirm so as not to jeopardize the success of our second rescue operation," Trump said on Truth.
However, the Revolutionary Guards claim to have destroyed one of the aircraft involved in the rescue operation.
"An enemy American aircraft searching for the downed pilot was destroyed in the southern region of Isfahan," the Revolutionary Guards reported.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has declared it has launched new attacks on Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut. Similarly, the Iran-backed group Hezbollah says it has launched rockets toward northern Israel, which the IDF claims to have intercepted.
Meanwhile, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) have decided to increase production by 206,000 barrels per day starting in May. The decision was made by the eight main producing countries, but its implementation remains uncertain due to the situation in the Middle East.
