Albanian students in North Macedonia protested in front of the Ministry of Justice, calling for the right to take the jurisprudence exam in the Albanian language, as provided by law. Student Mevlan Ademi stated that they will not remain silent and will pursue their rights to the end, while also calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and Justice Minister Igor Filkov. "This is our language, our identity. We are law students who will defend the law tomorrow, and today we are here to exercise something the law already recognizes. We are here for our rights. Language is history. Today we are united and will not allow Albanian to be treated as an option, because it is not an option but an identity. There is no rule of law without respect for language. This is the legacy of those before us and the mandate for those who will come after us. Albanian is not negotiable," the student stated.
