After issuing the new order, Police Director Skender Hita ensured that it begins to be implemented. There will no longer be patrols stopping vehicles on road axes. However, from this moment on, the responsibility lies with the drivers, who will face fines that will be automatically issued. But there is also good news. Director Hita has ordered that fines be entered into the system within the same day. This avoids the abusive interest that has been applied to citizens until now.
During the meeting with the staff of the Tirana Road Police Commissariat and the Public Security Department, Hita made it clear that the priority is the use of technology, police cameras, speed-measuring devices, and drones, as technology is the future.
The General Director also requested action plans in urban centers for illegal parking, improper maneuvers, driving under the influence of alcohol, and for any violation that poses a risk to safety.
Another order from Hita concerned the tourist season as well as security in schools, for which he requested increased attention.
