Their home is on wheels, and they have chosen the Adriatic coast as their backyard. Although it is spring, the Karpeni coastline in Kavajë has turned into an international "neighborhood." Tourists, mainly from Germany and France, have chosen the tranquility of this coastal strip, bringing more vitality to the camper tourism season, which knows no bounds of season.
"I'm from Germany. I've been here for two weeks and I like it. It's a beautiful place. Next week I'll go north, to the Alps," says one tourist. "The people are very friendly, and it's nice to live in Albania. The beach is very suitable, even for families with young children," another tourist expressed. "We planned to go to Greece, but we stopped here. The beach is wonderful, and there is no litter like in other places," declared one of the tourists.
But camper travel is not just about relaxing in nature. They observe every detail. Alongside hospitality, they also witness the shortcomings that still accompany our beaches, where cleanliness remains the main challenge. "I travel a lot, and here it is not very clean compared to other European countries, like the Scandinavian ones. Look over there, there is litter," said one tourist, raising a concern.
For these visitors, this part of the Adriatic remains a quiet haven. And as they prepare to explore the Alps or the south of the country, they leave behind the message that true tourism does not require luxury, but a clean environment and attention.
