Russian journalist and television presenter Vladimir Solovyov has once again attacked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, using harsh tones and serious accusations. Following previous statements on television, which led to the summoning of the Russian ambassador by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Solovyov published a message on Telegram addressed to Meloni. "Ms. Meloni, I am speaking to you as a Jew, once again persecuted by Italian authorities. This has happened more than once in Italian history. I am not a propagandist, but a Jew and an anti-fascist," he wrote. Furthermore, he accused the Italian prime minister of being a "follower of the fascist Mussolini," linking her to the historical responsibility for the crimes of fascist and Nazi regimes. "By sharing Mussolini's ideas, you are a collaborator in all the crimes of fascist Italy and, logically, you should be held jointly responsible for them," added Solovyov. He also accused Italy of supporting Ukraine, which he described as a "Nazi state," claiming it carries out terrorist attacks on Russian territory. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted on social media platform X in support of Meloni and Italy. "My full respect to you, Giorgia, and to all of Italy. The miserable Russian propagandists will not be able to distract those whose compass is the defense of their country's national interests," wrote Zelensky. He thanked Italy and Italian citizens for what he described as their clear stance in support of Ukraine.
