44-year-old arrested in Tirana for hiding a pistol and ammunition in his apartment.

Police in Tirana have arrested a 44-year-old man suspected of hiding a firearm and ammunition in his residence. During the search of the premises, officers seized the pistol and corresponding ammunition, while the materials have been referred to the prosecutor's office for further action.

"Officers from Police Station No. 6, as a result of processing information obtained through operational channels regarding another case of illegal weapons possession, finalized the operation codenamed 'Indicia,' during which the citizen D. V., 44 years old, a resident of Tirana, was caught red-handed and handcuffed.

During the search of his apartment on 'Kolë Koçi' street, 1 pistol firearm and combat ammunition were found hidden and seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police statement said.
