French actress Nadia Fares is in an induced coma following an incident in a swimming pool where she was found unconscious at the bottom.
The incident occurred on Saturday, April 11, when the 57-year-old, known for her role in the film "Les Riviรจres pourpres," was training in the pool of a sports complex in Paris. According to reports, she suddenly found herself underwater and did not resurface.
According to the French media 'Le Parisien,' a resident who was at the same location dived in to help her and, with the assistance of another person, pulled her out of the pool. The same reports state that the actress was not breathing and is said to have remained underwater for about three to four minutes.
The two men who rushed to help her provided first aid, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and a defibrillator was also used before rescue teams arrived.
Although they managed to revive her, her health condition is classified as critical, and she has been placed in an artificial coma.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, examining the possibility of an accident or drowning, while initial reports indicate no signs of criminal activity.
Simultaneously, security camera footage is being reviewed to determine the exact causes of the incident.
