An unusual but highly dangerous job is drawing attention due to the high salary it offers. Kevin Schmidt is an employee who earns around 40,000 euros per year for a task that seems simple: changing a light bulb just twice a year.

However, what makes this job unique is the fact that the light bulb is located at the top of a telecommunications tower, approximately 450 meters high. Each climb to carry out this process earns him about 20,000 euros, due to the high risk involved. Although the work is done with strong safety measures, the risk remains significant. Schmidt gradually climbs the tower, equipped with a safety system and protective harnesses that are secured at every step.

For him, this has become routine; he often stops to enjoy the view or send photos to his family. The role of this job is vital. The lights at the top of the towers serve as signals for aircraft, warning them of the presence of tall structures and preventing aerial accidents. Before taking on this profession, Schmidt worked in maintenance and technical inspections. He emphasizes that this job requires great dedication, as it is not a task that can be done solely for the high pay.
