A serious incident occurred in Italy, where a 12-year-old boy from San Benedetto del Tronto lost his life after being trapped for more than 12 minutes in a jacuzzi. The tragic event happened while he was on vacation with his family in Pennabilli, near Rimini. Italian media report that the boy's leg became stuck in the suction inlet of the installation, keeping him submerged underwater. He was pulled unconscious from the water and urgently transported to the Infermi hospital in Rimini, where after four days in intensive care, he passed away. The tragedy occurred on Easter morning, when the boy, on holiday with his parents and uncles, was in the hot tub of a hotel in Pennabilli, near Rimini. According to initial reports, the child's foot got trapped in one of the suction drains. The powerful suction prevented him from getting out of the jacuzzi, despite his parents' attempts to free him. Italian authorities are working to determine whether there was negligence on the part of the hotel, particularly regarding maintenance and the facility's safety systems. They are gathering evidence and analyzing the jacuzzi to determine if there was any malfunction in the drain or safety equipment. The facility has been seized, while investigators continue to monitor the case.
