The conflict in the Middle East is directly impacting the agricultural sector in Lezhë as well. The rise in prices of oil, chemical fertilizers, and agricultural inputs has put farmers in difficulty, precisely during the most critical period of spring planting. In Zadrimë, one of the most productive areas in the country, fewer and fewer farmers are working the land. They report that production costs have increased significantly, by 30 to 40 percent, making it unsustainable to continue agricultural activities. Under these conditions, their main demand remains state support to cope with the situation. Faced with this crisis, many farmers have begun to withdraw from agriculture, leaving entire plots of land abandoned. This situation is evident on the ground, especially in the Zadrimë area of Lezhë, where the lack of agricultural work is becoming increasingly noticeable.
