Asked about the allegations fueled by the public that his marriage was solely to obtain German citizenship, Miri denied these accusations. He described a 'marriage for papers' as a fatal mistake. "I cannot answer a question that has no answer. I did not marry for papers because we officially married very late. If people marry for papers, they make the biggest mistake; it is a fatal mistake," Miri said.
