Francesco Doçi and Ardian Gjoka, two pre-trial detainees at IVEP Reç, have committed physical violence against a prison police officer. Following the serious incident, the General Directorate of Prisons decided to isolate the two suspects for a period of three months. Doçi and Gjoka were transferred to a high-security prison, while criminal proceedings have been initiated against them for three criminal offenses. In an official response, the DPB adds that the two pre-trial detainees violently resisted the police officer and damaged the institution by destroying several pieces of equipment. A preliminary investigation has been launched against both, while verifications are also being carried out by the Internal Control Service of Prisons.
