Two individuals have been handcuffed by police in Tirana, suspected of stealing significant quantities of coffee from the company where they worked. The arrested are Altin Kenga, 35, and Vasilika Kazo, 29, both warehouse workers at the company. Meanwhile, proceedings have been initiated in a free state for citizen L. B., 29, who worked as a distributor. It is reported that they sold the stolen coffee, profiting 800,000 euros. According to police, this criminal activity was carried out over a three-year period.
Tirana/Operation codenamed "Inventory" finalized. They stole 40,000 kg of coffee from the company where they worked and sold it; two warehouse workers arrested and distributor under investigation. From this criminal activity carried out over three years, the three citizens are suspected of profiting 800,000 euros.
As a result of operational actions taken following a complaint from the administrator of a company in the coffee production/trade sector, who had discovered the theft of a large quantity of product, specialists for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes finalized the operation codenamed "Inventory."
As a result of the operation: -Citizens A. K., 35, and V. K., 29, warehouse workers at this company, were handcuffed; -Proceedings were initiated in a free state for citizen L. B., 29, a distributor. Investigations suggest that these citizens, in cooperation with each other and abusing their duties, over a three-year period stole 40,000 kilograms of coffee, from the sale of which they profited 800,000 euros.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
