A potential criminal offense against persons and property has been prevented, and two such incidents have been uncovered, committed by a citizen posing a high social risk.
As a result of police pursuit, a 37-year-old man has been apprehended. He had acquired, for criminal purposes, explosive materials, flammable substances, a firearm, and a suspected stolen motorcycle without license plates.
At the moment of his apprehension, he was wearing a silicone mask.
Quantities of explosive materials (ready for detonation), 10 liters of flammable substance, 1 firearm (pistol) with ammunition, 1 silicone mask, and 1 motorcycle without plates (suspected stolen) were seized.
As a result of the heightened vigilance of the Tirana Police services to ensure citizen safety, and thanks to intensified controls and operational information management, the services of Police Commissariat No. 5, in cooperation with specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section, have concluded the coded police operation "Contingent."
During the operation, a stop signal was given to a motorcycle without plates, operated by citizen P. D., 37, a resident of Paskuqan. The 37-year-old did not comply with the police order and continued moving at speed on the motorcycle.
As a result of the police pursuit, he was captured and arrested near the Paskuqan lake.
At the moment of apprehension, it was found that the 37-year-old was wearing a silicone mask. During the physical and vehicle search, police services found quantities of explosive materials ready for detonation, 10 liters of flammable substance, and 1 firearm (pistol) with ammunition.
From further investigations, it is suspected that the arrested citizen, P. D., on 03.10.2025, on "Besim Cera" street, Paskuqan 1, fired a firearm towards the residence of citizen Q. K., and subsequently burned the vehicle used during the commission of the crime near the bridge of Tapizë village. Furthermore, it is suspected that on 17.10.2025, on "Unaza e Madhe" street, Paskuqan 2, he threw a quantity of explosive material at the residence of citizen Rr. D., an incident which caused only material damage.
Additionally, it is suspected that the motorcycle on which the 37-year-old was found moving during the night on "Mustafa Lita" street is stolen.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, intensive work continues to identify and apprehend possible accomplices of the 37-year-old, as well as to uncover other criminal events in which he may be involved.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
