A 36-year-old Albanian man was handcuffed by the Carabinieri of the Riccione company after being caught in possession of narcotics intended for distribution. According to Italian media, the arrest followed a routine traffic stop on Viale Abruzzi, where the Albanian was driving a rental car. From the very first moments, he exhibited excessive nervousness, which raised the officers' suspicions and prompted them to deepen their checks. During the inspection, 1,500 euros in cash were found in his wallet, for which he was unable to provide an explanation regarding their origin. Since the 36-year-old did not have his residence documents with him and claimed to have forgotten them at home, the Carabinieri also conducted a search at his residence. Inside the apartment, in the living room, hallway, and kitchen, three precision scales with residues of a white substance were found. Meanwhile, in a safe in the bedroom, police discovered a package containing approximately 40 grams of compact cocaine. Other doses packaged and ready for distribution were found both on the arrested man's body and in a mobile device. The narcotics, money, and packaging materials were seized. Further checks at the police station revealed that the 36-year-old had previously used different identities and had been convicted earlier for similar offenses. He is being held in the security cells in Riccione, awaiting a hearing to assess the arrest measure.
