A serious incident has occurred in the US, where nine people were injured in a shooting near the Indiana University campus in Bloomington.

Shortly before the shooting broke out at a college cycling race party, a fight erupted between two girls in front of a restaurant. During the confrontation, two male suspects drew their pistols and fired into the dense crowd around 12:25 a.m. The two girls involved in the altercation were not injured, and the motives of the shooters remain unclear. The other injured individuals were hurt in the ensuing chaos. No students were harmed, officials said, adding that all victims were visitors.

Among the injured were a 17-year-old girl struck by bullet fragments in the leg, an 18-year-old shot in the ankle, a 21-year-old hit in the thigh, and a 22-year-old with bullet fragments embedded in the back of her thigh. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old was shot directly in the abdomen. One of the injured was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition, while the rest were treated at the scene.
