The head of the PD parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has supported the protest of law students in North Macedonia, who are demanding to take their jurisprudence exam in the Albanian language.

In a reaction on social media, Bardhi stated that this is a right won with blood and cannot be negotiated.

"The use of the Albanian language is a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution of North Macedonia and the Law on the Use of Languages. This is a right won with blood and cannot be negotiated. I fully support the legitimate protest of the students because language is history, it is blood, it is memory. And a people forced to demand their own language does not have a language problem, but a justice problem. For each of them, the Albanian language is identity. Albanian is not negotiable," writes Bardhi.

Meanwhile, he has called on the Albanian government to take measures to intervene with the authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia.

"I call on the Albanian Government to immediately take measures to intervene with the authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia, to avoid a return to dark times. The path of our two neighboring countries is common towards the European Union๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ. However, in any case, the Republic of Albania has a constitutional obligation to protect the national rights of the Albanian people living outside its borders," he declared.
