The future of coach Sylvinho may be in his homeland. According to reports published by the Brazilian portal bolavip.br, the Albanian national team coach has been targeted by the Brazilian football club Corinthians in the Brazilian championship to replace Dorival Junior, who has resigned.

Sylvinho has a contract with the Albanian Football Federation until the end of July, and no decision has been made yet regarding his future, while in Brazil, his name has started to be mentioned. Sylvinho is being considered for the role of Corinthians coach because he knows the club and thus would not need an adaptation period, unlike what might happen with any coach who has never worked with this team.

Furthermore, it is learned that Corinthians' management is in a hurry to announce the new coach due to the decisive matches that follow this season, with Corinthians set to debut in the Copa Libertadores against Platense on Thursday and play the Brazilian football classic with Palmeiras in the championship on Sunday.

Sylvinho's past with Corinthians

Sylvinho has previously coached the Corinthians team from May 2021 to February 3, 2022, resigning immediately after the loss against Santos. In total, the current national team coach has led the team in 44 matches with a record of 17 wins, 14 draws, and 13 losses. But Sylvinho also has a past with Corinthians as a professional footballer, having been active during the period 1994-1999.

However, Sylvinho is not the only candidate to take over Corinthians. Journalist Joรฃo Van Boysen, in a post on social media X, made it known that the club's Administrative Council is also evaluating other names such as Carlos Carvalhal, Bruno Lage, Tite, Fernando Diniz, Marcelo Gallardo, and Vojvoda.
